We are pleased to announce the retirement of our respected President and Chief Executive Officer, Caryl Greene, following 38 years of loyal service to Members First Credit Union of Florida. Ms. Greene's retirement is marked by several achievements, visionary leadership, and a steadfast dedication to our Credit Union's mission.
As President and Chief Executive Officer, Caryl Greene has played a pivotal role in driving positive transformations, guiding Members First through notable achievements and difficulties with solid commitment. Under her leadership, Members First achieved numerous milestones, including expanding to six locations, two successful mergers, growing membership to over 20,000 members, and increasing assets to $286 million. Her achievements have had a lasting impact on our credit union's history.
Throughout her tenure, Ms. Greene has generously contributed her expertise across various community boards and has served as a Board Member for the League of Southeastern Credit Unions. Her dedicated board service has brought about positive changes for Credit Union members and the community at large. She guided the Credit Union with unwavering commitment, fostering a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and financial excellence. Under her stewardship, we have seen remarkable growth, technological advancements, and a dedication to our members’ financial well-being.
Members First's Chairperson of the Board, Theresa McCants, expressed heartfelt appreciation for Greene's contributions. "It is with mixed emotions that we announce Caryl's retirement," McCants said. "She leaves behind a lasting legacy of integrity, leadership, and commitment to our members and employees. Her vision has guided Members First through times of growth and challenge, and we are grateful for her unparalleled dedication."
As Caryl moves into the new chapter of her life, she intends to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and cheer for her Auburn Tigers. Ms. Greene, we appreciate your outstanding leadership, dedication, and the lasting impact you have made. May your retirement be filled with joy, fulfillment, and the relaxation you deserve.
Michele Williams, who has served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the Credit Union for many years, has now assumed the role of President and CEO.
