At Members First Credit Union of Florida, we believe in the power of educational opportunities for our young members. We started out serving teachers, so education has always been a priority for us. Staying true to our roots in education, we will award four (4) $1,250 scholarships to students graduating high school based on their scholastic record and community involvement.
We are committed to supporting the educational aspirations of our young members and their families. These scholarships are designed to help alleviate the financial burden of higher education and empower students to achieve their academic and career goals.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be a primary member of Members First Credit Union of Florida.
- Applicant must be a current senior or graduate of an accredited high school, ready to begin as a first-year continuing education student. A GED is not an acceptable substitute.
- Demonstrate academic excellence, community involvement, and leadership qualities.
Application Process:
- Complete the online scholarship application or downloadable pdf form available on our website by March 31, 2025.
- Submit an essay in 500 words or less on one of the topics outlined in the application.
- Provide official transcripts for the past four years, including your grade point average (GPA).
- Provide at least one (1) academic letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach or counselor, and one (1) individual letter of recommendation.
Important Dates:
- Application opens: January 1, 2025
- Application deadline: March 31, 2025
- Scholarship recipients will be notified in April 2025.
